Frequently asked

What homeowners ask us most.

The questions we hear after the wind dies down, answered in plain language.
How fast can you tarp a roof in an active storm?
During named storms we pre-stage crews around the region. Target window from dispatch to watertight tarp is two hours. Outside named storms, median is closer to four hours depending on access and roof complexity.
Why are insurance supplements so common on storm jobs?
Damage hidden under shingles or in attics often isn't visible until tear-off. Honest contractors document discoveries in the file as they happen. Dishonest contractors back-bill them at closeout. Our supplement rate is 3.2% — industry average is around 12% — because we scope thoroughly up front.
Do you remove fallen trees too?
Yes. Tree-impact response includes removing the tree, inspecting the roof structure underneath, verifying structural integrity, and hauling the debris. We coordinate with a licensed arborist if the rest of the tree needs to come down or be cabled for safety.
Will my insurance cover this?
Most named-peril homeowner's policies cover wind and hail damage. Coverage gets murky for flood (separate flood insurance), backed-up sewer (often an endorsement), and pre-existing wear. We document the damage thoroughly and present it to your adjuster — they make the call but our docs make it easy.
How long until the roof is fully rebuilt?
Tarping happens within hours. Full roof replacement depends on materials and crew size; a typical asphalt-shingle roof on a single-family home runs 2–4 days once permits and materials are in place. Carrier approval typically takes 1–2 weeks.
Can I do anything to prepare before the next big storm?
Clean gutters and downspouts. Trim branches that overhang the roof. Test your sump pump (run a bucket of water into the pit). Make sure the grade around your foundation slopes away from the house. If you have a basement, move sentimental boxes up off the floor.

Storm hit. We're already pre-staged.
